My Survival List - Bill MontgomeryI created My Survival List for those people that would like to begin or expand their home preparedness. By this, I mean help people increase their options for the most likely scenarios that we all face in our everyday lives.

Yes, I believe that having a survival bag or disaster kit is important these days. I think it is very possible that we might have to leave our homes on very short notice and stay away for a few days. This could be caused by a natural disaster like a tornado or something man-made, like a broken gas line.

I do not think that the world is going to come to an end and that I can be prepared for it. I don’t have cases of survival items stockpiled, waiting for the end of the world.  However I do try to prepare for those events that I can see happening and this preparation gives me options that could make the difference between getting by in a situation or not.

I believe that technology does not replace some basic skills, it just provides more options in most situations. That being said, I am a technology junkie and do like to mix new gadgets with the basic skills to get better with both.
